Director-Plant Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Manage all issues relating to the maintenance, management and sustainability of facilities, infrastructure and plant resources for assigned Kettering Health location.
• Manage all aspects of facilities maintenance as well as relationships with outsourced contractors to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
• Serve as primary decision maker in prioritizing jobs and allocating staffing and resources to support total facility management.
• Report to the campus COO.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering or a closely related field, or a nationally accredited apprenticeship program completion.
• Master's Degree preferred
• CHFM preferred

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum 7 years in Facilities management with experience in budget oversight, contracted services oversight, personnel management and long-term planning.

Required Licenses

Required Skills

• ASHE (American Society for Healthcare Engineering) member
• ICS (Incident Command System) 100, 200, 700 course completions within the first year.
• Leadership/management skills
• Knowledge of State and local fire codes
• Comprehensive knowledge of Life Safety Code and application to HFAP Chapters 11 & 13 standards
• Ability to read blueprints and specs for construction projects
• Ability to work with web-based software
• Able to manage multiple projects and teams at one time
