Director, Physician Assistant Program & Professor of Practice

Minimum Qualifications

• A current PA license is required.
• PA and PA-C (current or emeritus)
• Three years of full-time higher education experience at the time of appointment.
• Current or emeritus NCCPA certification status.
• Demonstrated experience in management in a higher education setting.
• Either NCCPA or board-certified MD/DO.
• Documented academic PA program teaching experience as a principal program faculty.
• At least five years clinical and/or academic experience as a PA or MD/DO.
• A clear understanding of ARC -PA Standards (v.4 and v5).
• Understanding of program self-study process.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Provides effective leadership by exhibiting responsiveness to issues related to personnel, strong communication skills, and proactive problem solving.
• Knowledgeable about and responsible for program organization, program administration, fiscal management of the program, continuous programmatic review and analysis, program planning, program development, completion of ARC -PA required documents, and adherence to the Standards and ARC -PA policies.
