Director Pharmacy

Job Summary

You will oversee and coordinate daily Pharmacy Services operations at Mercy Hospital Bakersfield, meeting financial objectives, implementing performance improvement initiatives, evaluating department effectiveness, and troubleshooting pharmaceutical care issues.

Responsibilities

• Meet financial objectives in labor, revenue, and gross margins
• Implement performance improvement initiatives
• Evaluate department effectiveness in meeting clinical/service expectations
• Troubleshoot pharmaceutical care issues
• Exercise judgment and critical thinking in resolving complex issues
• Apply principles of leadership, human relations, and continuous quality improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy, required
• Minimum of 4 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experience required
• Registered Pharmacist license in the State of California required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership position preferred
• Pharmacy residency completed preferred
• Masters Degree (MBA, MS, MHA, etc) preferred
• Membership in the ASHP, ASCP, APHA and/or other professional associations preferred
