Director, Payroll Business Lead (DRI)

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Business Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve execution rhythms for the Payroll business
• Translate Payroll strategy into clear goals and workplans
• Provide visibility into project priorities and risks
• Support development of scalable processes to reduce complexity
• Ensure alignment between Payroll execution and enterprise planning
• Lead initiatives that enhance scalability and customer experience
• Clarify scope and success criteria for early-stage problems

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in program/project management, strategy operations, or consulting
• 1+ years of experience with the company preferred
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, or B2B services preferred
• Strong business and financial acumen; skilled in using KPIs and performance metrics
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects
• Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environments and navigate ambiguity

Pay

$240,000 – $263,500 annually
