About the role
The Director of Payment Model Operations will oversee day-to-day operational execution for payment model implementation contracts, including participant onboarding, participant management and communications, help desk operations, and monitoring and compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Engage, develop, and sustain client relationships through policy consultation, strategic guidance, and thought leadership
- Direct end-to-end operational functions for value-based care initiatives, including participant onboarding, stakeholder communications, help desk support, monitoring, and compliance oversight, to ensure efficient implementation and sustained program performance
- Oversee analyses to monitor performance and continuously improve operational activities
- Mentor and develop staff to strengthen technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ensure consistently high standards of accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail across all deliverables
- Collaborate effectively as a senior member of multidisciplinary project teams
- Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors
- Lead business development and growth activities, including capture and proposal response
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant health policy industry experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, quality improvement, evaluation, and/or policy expertise
- 4+ years of experience working on value-based care payment initiatives supporting operational and/or compliance/monitoring activities
- Demonstrated experience in cross contractor coordination, managing subcontractors, and leading cross-functional project teams
- Experience supporting business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, shaping capture strategies, contributing to proposal development, and building client relationships in support of organizational growth
- Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field (health policy, public health, economics, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare policies and regulations
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment.
Schedule
Remote work is available, with a requirement to work in the office a minimum of four days per week in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area.
