Director Patient Safety
Job Summary
The Patient Safety Director leads and collaborates in the implementation of the hospital-based patient safety program with the goal of eliminating preventable patient harm while also establishing and sustaining a culture of safety.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field
PREFERRED Education: Master’s Degree
Required Experience: Three to five years healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality (Healthcare experience should be recent and within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.)
Clinical background preferred.
Required License/Certification: (CPPS) Certified Professional in Patient Safety. If not already a CCPS, it must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date and maintained while in the role.
