For our client, a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space, we are seeking a Director of Organizational Development to advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

About the role

You will partner with global leaders, HR centers of excellence, and functional stakeholders to create consistent practices across teams and regions. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a consumer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of organizational development methodologies and frameworks in collaboration with the VP of OD
  • Assess organizational effectiveness and drive design initiatives aligned with business needs alongside HRBPs
  • Create governance models and decision-making frameworks to enhance organizational clarity
  • Translate business challenges and capability gaps into actionable, strategic recommendations
  • Facilitate leadership alignment and team effectiveness interventions to foster collaboration and change adoption
  • Address the people-related impacts of organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and clear roles
  • Evaluate OD initiatives through data and feedback to foster continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business, Human Resources, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in organizational development, design, or change management, particularly with large-scale transformations
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing OD practices, frameworks, and governance models
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies applicable in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience influencing and advising leaders effectively across various organizational levels
  • Superior facilitation skills for leadership teams and group dynamics
  • Proven project management skills in global, multi-stakeholder environments

Pay

$148,600 – $245,400 annually
