About the role

Become a Director, Oracle Fusion Financials at Paramount, a leading global media and entertainment company. Lead the technical architecture, release management, and various financial processes while managing a team of functional analysts and technical developers.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Oversight: Oversee the technical architecture of the Oracle Fusion Financials suite to meet global business needs and adhere to best practices.
  • Release Management: Lead the quarterly update cycles strategy, conducting impact analysis, regression testing, and feature rollouts to minimize business disruptions.
  • Hierarchies & COA: Design and maintain Value Sets, Flexfield structures, and Tree Hierarchies, managing the impact of changes on reporting cubes.
  • Ledger Engineering: Configure Primary/Secondary Ledgers, Reporting Currencies, and Ledger Sets, and understand SLA technical logic for customized data flows.
  • Expertise in Cross Validation Rules, Data Access Sets, and Segment Value Security.
  • Account Rules & Mapping Sets: Design rules to dynamically derive COA segments and define journal line and description rules.
  • Subledger Accounting Methods (SLAM): Group rules into cohesive accounting methods for assigned ledgers.
  • Transaction Types: Identify and categorize business events from legacy systems.
  • Source Data Definition: Define header and line-level data elements for external system integration.
  • Bank Integration: Master technical mastery of bank transmission and secure file transmission for automated statement retrieval.
  • Reconciliation Engines: Expertise in Manual and Automated Reconciliation Rule Sets, including Tolerance Rules and Mapping Sets.
  • External Transactions: Develop automated sweep or zero-balance technical logic for global liquidity management.
  • Embedded Banking: Knowledge of embedded banking feature in Fusion Cash Management.
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Technical expertise in cash posting rules.
  • PTP: Experience in Oracle Supplier Portal, IDR, or DocIO for vendor onboarding and invoice processing.
  • Payment File Formatting: Hands-on development of ISO 20022, NACHA, and SWIFT payment templates using BI Publisher (eText/XSL-FO).
  • Tax & Withholding: Technical configuration of tax engines, including tax rules, regimes, and automated tax calculation logic.
  • Asset Lifecycle Automation: Technical expertise in configuring Asset Books, Depreciation Methods, and Prorate Conventions.
  • Mass Additions Logic: Hands-on experience with the FA Mass Additions process, troubleshooting technical interfaces, and designing custom validation logic.
  • Auto-Invoice Architecture: Mastery of the Auto-Invoice Master Program, debugging interface table errors, and designing custom validation logic for high-volume billing imports.
  • Lockbox & Receipt Processing: Experience designing and building Auto-Lockbox transmission formats and "Auto-Match" rule sets.
  • Ecosystem Connectivity: Partner with Data Engineering team for seamless data flow between Oracle Fusion and ancillary systems.
  • Reporting Strategy: Direct the development of advanced reporting tools using OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS, and FDI.
  • Talent Development: Manage a team of Oracle Functional Analysts and Technical Developers, fostering an agile delivery culture.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party implementation partners, ensuring high service levels and project accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance. MBA or CPA is a significant plus.
  • 10+ years in ERP management, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Proven track record of leading at least two global, full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
  • Expert-level understanding of GL, FAH, Cash Management, AGIS, AP, and AR modules.
  • Familiarity with FBDI, ADFDI, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and SOAP/REST APIs as they relate to financial data.

Qualifications

  • The Bridge-Builder: Can explain complex SQL queries to Controllers and nuances of Intercompany accounting to Software Engineers.
  • The Optimizer: Always seeks ways to reduce "Time-to-Close" and automate manual journal entries.
  • The SOX Lookout: Understands the critical importance of controls, audit trails, and segregation of duties in a global financial environment.

Skills

  • Technical Literacy: Familiarity with FBDI, ADFDI, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and SOAP/REST APIs.
  • SQL Queries: Proficiency in writing and explaining complex SQL queries.
  • Intercompany Accounting: Understanding and explaining the nuances of Intercompany accounting.
  • SOX Controls: Knowledge of controls, audit trails, and segregation of duties.

Pay

Hiring Salary Range: $176,800.00 - 265,200.00.
