About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, proactive Director of Operations Finance for Ingersoll Rand’s CSS NA (Compression Systems and Services, North America) SBU. This role reports to the VP, Finance CSS NA and leads a team of finance professionals across 9 manufacturing and distribution plants. The position is responsible for financial accounting, planning, reporting, analysis, and controls, while providing financial leadership to the Operations organization in developing and implementing business strategies, objectives, and operating plans.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leadership teams to develop operations strategy and translate strategic goals into actionable and measurable business plans.
- Drive process standardization across operations finance, including standard cost setting, forecasting, warranty, capitalized variances, and overall inventory valuation across all locations.
- Collaborate with Operations Leaders to drive operational excellence, improve productivity, margins, delivery, cash flow, and service while executing business plans.
- Ensure an effective controls environment across all manufacturing locations.
- Partner for effective execution of project initiatives, including capital investments, restructuring projects, footprint utilization, and more.
- Build long-term organizational competency through leadership of Plant Controllers and their teams, as well as Operations FP&A, via coaching, training, development, and succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, including costing, compliance, and financial planning.
Skills
- Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple critical projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Hyperion Consolidation tools is a plus.
Preferences
- Master’s Degree.
- CMA, CFA, or CPA certification is a plus.
Travel
Approximately 25% domestic travel is required.
