Director Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations leads multiple distribution centers, each serving individual customers with unique requirements. Acting as an extension of those customers’ businesses, the role drives a high‑performance culture, develops strong teams, and serves as the critical link between distribution centers and senior leadership, ensuring accountability for group success and growth. The organization operates in a business‑casual environment that emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple distribution centers and cultivate customer relationships, becoming an extension of their business.
• Drive a culture of performance and results through your teams.
• Assemble and advise strong teams at each distribution center.
• Lead multiple teams and support their professional development at all levels.
• Support the group and drive performance by developing a strong network throughout DHL Supply Chain’s functional departments.
• Serve as a key member of the management team of the largest global supply chain company.

• Work with your manager on developing your growth and career direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required).
• MBA or equivalent (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience within supply chain (required).
• 3+ years of progressive experience in at least one of: strategy development and implementation, operations management, or organization design and implementation (required).
• Experience as a management consultant or in a strategic role within a supply chain function (preferred).

Pay

National salary range: $150,000 – $200,000.
