About the role

Google's Data Center Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is integrated across all stages of the data center lifecycle. CSRM is dedicated to protecting the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. By leveraging advanced security systems, dedicated guarding forces, and risk management and compliance frameworks, CSRM supports the entirety of Google Data Centers (GDC), enabling Google Cloud to reach a broader audience and inspire user trust. As the Director of Data Center Operational Technology (OT) Security, you will define and execute the global direction, strategy, and governance for securing Google’s physical and operational data center infrastructure. You will lead a high-impact organization responsible for proactively identifying, quantifying, and mitigating complex enterprise-wide cyber and physical threats across critical systems. Serving as a strategic executive partner, you will align cross-functional leadership across Technical Infrastructure, Cloud CISO, and engineering organizations to build next-generation secure architectures, drive industry standards, and safeguard Google Cloud’s global footprint at scale. Responsibilities

• Define and direct multi-year security architectures, risk quantification models, and defense-in-depth frameworks for global OT systems, rack-level environments, and critical facilities.
• Establish governance mechanisms and executive accountability across GDC, Cloud CISO, Corporate Engineering, and PSS to deliver unified, end-to-end security architectures.
• Build, scale, and inspire a global organization of technical managers, engineers, and program leaders.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, psychological safety, and leadership.
