Director, Operational Excellence & Production Systems

For our client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, we are seeking a Director of Operational Excellence & Production Systems to lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains.

About the role

You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation initiatives for growth and operational expansion
• Develop and implement a scalable Production System aligned with Lean principles
• Drive cross-functional alignment across various operational domains
• Establish standardized management and performance frameworks
• Lead strategy deployment processes and develop operational excellence roadmaps
• Conduct Lean maturity assessments and define improvement plans
• Build organizational capability through training and facilitation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, Life Sciences, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing, operations, or transformation leadership
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proven experience with large-scale capital projects in matrix organizations
• Strong understanding of cGMP and biologics manufacturing environments
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in fast-paced settings

Pay

$196,700 – $232,650 annually
