About the Role

Under the direction of the Head Women's Basketball Coach, this position manages the women's basketball operating budget, serves as the Video Streaming Liaison for the Mountain West Conference, coordinates all women's basketball team travel, assists with women's basketball camps and clinics, collaborates with the coaching staff, and engages with fan, alumni, and booster groups supporting the women's basketball program. The role also involves liaising with Sports Information Directors (SID), social media, and digital media staff.

Allocation of time:

  • 80% - Director of Women's Basketball Operations
  • 20% - Coaching

Responsibilities

  • Manage the women's basketball operating budget
  • Serve as Video Streaming Liaison for the Mountain West Conference
  • Coordinate all women's basketball team travel arrangements
  • Assist with women's basketball camps and clinics
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff and engage with fan, alumni, and booster groups
  • Liaise with SID, social media, and digital media staff
  • Analyze, interpret, and review NCAA rules and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate sport structure, including NCAA, conference, and institutional rules
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and review NCAA rules and regulations
  • Professional knowledge of the philosophy and objectives of NCAA athletics programs at the Division I level
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a busy, stressful environment with frequent interruptions
  • Computer skills to develop and maintain efficient modes of communication, compliance, budget, and database management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of budgetary, fiscal, fund accounting, and bookkeeping principles to manage budgets and prepare reports and projections
  • Organizational and management skills to oversee all administrative requirements of the women's basketball program

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 – $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

  • Full-time (100%) position
  • Variable shift: Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some nights and weekends as needed for games and/or practice
  • 100% on-site in Davis, CA
