About the role

P4K is seeking a Tutoring Director to develop and implement tutoring programs across nine total schools within the Omaha Public School District. The Tutoring Director will be required to maintain clear and comprehensive communication with all relevant parties, ensuring the tutoring programs run effectively and efficiently for the benefit of over 800 students across the district.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS – HIGH DOSAGE TUTORING

  • Execute tutoring programs at four locations. One each at RM Marrs, McMillan, Monroe, and Norris Middle Schools.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train 25+ tutors to ensure coverage for all tutoring programs.
  • Meet regularly with contact persons at four target middle schools for progress monitoring purposes.
  • Collaborate with the schools and the district to select and implement appropriate curriculum for each grade level.
  • Select students for tutoring program based on data collected by OPS and create tutoring groups with input from the Instructional Facilitator and/or Counselors at each school.
  • Develop relationships and positive culture within tutoring team to maintain high tutor retention rate.
  • Review student data in collaboration with each tutoring location to track student growth and tutor effectiveness.
