Director of Training, Behavioral Health Fellowship

Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is a multi-clinic network providing integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty, and referral services as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We serve nearly 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County, focusing on health equity for vulnerable populations through family-centered, trauma-informed care. About the role

As the Director of Training, Behavioral Health Fellowship, you will design and lead a transformative Fellowship Program to impact Latinx communities. You will oversee a cutting-edge training curriculum, supervise Behavioral Health Fellows and junior practitioners, and ensure alignment with evidence-based practices. This role empowers Fellows to make a lasting impact while building a pipeline of culturally-responsive clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direct supervision to first and second-year Associates in Social Work (ASWs), Behavioral Health Fellows, and the Clinical Supervisor (LCSW).
• Design and implement a comprehensive ASW Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) training program aligned with evidence-based practices.
• Deliver culturally sensitive, trauma-responsive, and evidence-based treatment to patients (adults and children) with mild to moderate behavioral health needs, in-person and via telehealth.
• Continuously evaluate and update the training program based on feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Incorporate new technologies, training methods, and service models to integrate behavioral health into primary care.
• Manage a team of Behavioral Health professionals, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
• Collaborate with recruiting teams to attract top talent, participate in interviews, and ensure smooth onboarding.
• Provide regular performance feedback, set clear goals, and support professional development.

Requirements

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience in California.
• Experience developing curriculum and delivering mentorship in clinical settings.
• Bilingual in Spanish (required).
• Experience in motivational interviewing and substance use disorder treatment (preferred).
• Comfortable providing care across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, elderly) for mild/moderate behavioral health needs and complex mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology (beneficial).

Skills

• Deep understanding of Latinx communities and expertise in culturally responsive care.
• Proven ability to engage diverse populations, recognizing cultural, social, and historical factors.
• Track record of mentoring emerging clinicians in complex clinical and interpersonal situations.
• Strong clinical assessment and case management skills, especially in a bilingual context.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to present information clearly.

Pay

Minimum: $120,000.00/year
Maximum: $149,000.00/year
