DIRECTOR OF TRAINING
Directives
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-state training strategy supporting IDD, behavioral health, and SUD services.
- Standardize core training curricula across all service lines while allowing for state-specific regulatory customization.
- Ensure alignment with: Person-Centered Planning principles, Trauma-Informed Care, Recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Partner with executive leadership to align workforce development initiatives with growth, quality, and performance goals.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state-level training requirements, including but not limited to: Medicaid waiver programs, State IDD/ODP or equivalent agencies, Behavioral health licensing bodies, Substance use treatment regulatory authorities (e.g., ASAM-aligned expectations where applicable), Accreditation standards (CARF, Joint Commission, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a training compliance matrix for each state and service line.
- Oversee systems for: Credentialing and certification tracking (e.g., CPR/First Aid, CPI, medication administration), Annual recertifications and continuing education, Audit-ready documentation.
- Lead internal audits and support external licensing, accreditation reviews.
- Implement corrective action plans to address training deficiencies and compliance gaps.
Oversight & Supervision
- Provide leadership and supervision to the RHD-PA Training Department, with oversight of training for each region of RHD.
- Establish clear performance standards, accountability measures, and productivity expectations.
- Ensure consistency and quality of training delivery across all states and programs.
- Conduct regular site visits and training observations to ensure fidelity to RHD training standards.
Quality Improvement & Risk Mitigation
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Incident Management teams to: Identify trends in incidents, grievances, and audit findings, Develop targeted training interventions to mitigate risk, Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs such as: Competency completion rates, Incident reduction trends, Staff retention and performance outcomes.
- Continuously improve training content using data, feedback, and regulatory changes.
Operational & Programmatic Support
- Collaborate with Operations and Clinical Leadership to: Identify workforce training needs based on program acuity and service expansion, Support new program startups, acquisitions, and state entries, Ensure rapid deployment of training for new hires and new service lines, Support leadership development programs for front-line supervisors and managers.
Learning Systems & Data Management
- Ensure accurate tracking of: Training completions, Certifications, Compliance dashboards by state, program, and role.
- Provide real-time reporting to executive leadership and compliance teams.
