Director of the School of Nursing

Description The Director of the School of Nursing serves as the school's lead academic administrator, responsible for all administrative, planning, and budgetary matters across the San Marcos and the Temecula satellite campus. The Director will bring a strong background in curricular and program development, assessment, and evaluation, along with deep knowledge of accreditation standards and an awareness of evolving market demands. Central to this role is a sustained commitment to excellence in baccalaureate and graduate nursing education, providing opportunities for students at every stage of their educational and professional journey. The School of Nursing is housed within the College of Education, Health and Human Services, offering interprofessional collaborative education opportunities. The School of Nursing faculty and staff strive to be dynamic leaders in the art and science of nursing, educating ethically and culturally sensitive nursing students to alleviate suffering and to promote, preserve, and restore dignity for all patients. The Simulation Center, accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, is a place for faculty to practice innovative teaching models and creative activities to promote students’ development of clinical judgement throughout the curriculum. In clinical experiences, students learn to advocate for health care needs in diverse local, regional, and global communities. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This position includes a generous benefits package and a salary range between $145,700 – $202,900 (based on rank, qualifications, and given summer employment).
