Director of Technology
About the role
The Director of Technology is responsible for leading the technology strategy, development, integrations, Salesforce delivery, and AI initiatives at Attorney Assistant. This is a full-time, W-2 position open to candidates remote within the United States. Candidates located in the Philadelphia area are preferred, but not required. Compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and interview results. Additional benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
Delivery management: Project-manage our development team, including Apex developers and integration specialists. Break work into sprints, keep it moving, unblock issues, and hold the line on deadlines.
Requirements and business analysis: Meet with stakeholders, extract what’s actually needed, and translate business problems into clear, buildable specs.
QA and release ownership: Nothing goes live without your sign-off. You’ll define the QA process, test critically, and own the quality of what ships.
Migrations and platform changes: Build and run the roadmap for platform changes, including cutover plans, data migration, dependency mapping, rollback plans, and communications.
Salesforce administration and architecture oversight: Manage our Salesforce environment, scope Salesforce work correctly, and keep our data model clean.
Vendor and tool management: Own relationships across our stack, including telephony, Salesforce ISVs, AI platforms, and other SaaS tools. Evaluate, negotiate, consolidate, and hold vendors accountable.
AI-accelerated building: Use Claude, Claude Code, or similar tools as force multipliers for internal tools, specs, test plans, and execution. We expect you to build with AI, not just talk about it.
Team leadership: Our developers and integration specialists report directly to you. You’ll own their priorities, output quality, and growth.
Strategy and execution: You’ll have final say on technology decisions, including tooling, vendors, architecture, and releases. Roadmap-level strategy is set collaboratively with leadership, but everything below it is yours to decide and execute.
