About the role
You will lead technical accounting, GAAP reporting, and financial reporting processes. The role will serve as the internal U.S. GAAP expert, advising on complex transactions such as acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and new commercial structures while partnering closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a CPA with significant Big Four/public accounting experience who can build scalable accounting policies, controls, and reporting infrastructure as the organization grows.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting and GAAP reporting
- Serve as internal U.S. GAAP expert
- Advise on complex transactions (acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, new commercial structures)
- Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, and executive leadership
- Build scalable accounting policies, controls, and reporting infrastructure
Requirements
- BS in a related field
- CPA license
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public Accounting experience at a Big 4 or similar firm
- Technical Accounting under U.S. GAAP
- SOX 404
- Project finance and tax equity structures
- Renewables/renewable energy or related industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- SEC reporting
- M&A accounting
- Environmental tax credits
- Experience in private equity-backed organizations

Pay
$175,000 - $225,000 per year
