Director of Team Member and Vendor Licensing
About the role
The Director of Team Member and Vendor Licensing oversees the Enterprise-wide administration of team member and vendor licensing activities for the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (NNGE). This position directs licensing operations, manages licensing records and tracking systems, coordinates renewals, facilitates applications, and supports operational departments with licensing-related processes. The role works closely with Human Resources on new hire licensing, renewals, workforce activities, and onboarding, as well as with Procurement on vendor licensing and supplier requirements. The Director serves as the primary administrative liaison between NNGE and licensing agencies, including the Navajo Nation Gaming Regulatory Office and Arizona Department of Gaming, handling applications, renewals, records, and related matters.
The position requires professionalism, accountability, exceptional customer service, operational leadership, organizational effectiveness, and a commitment to licensing administration excellence while supporting team members, departmental objectives, and Enterprise goals. Confidentiality of all privileged information must be maintained.
Responsibilities
- Direct Enterprise-wide licensing operations for team members and vendors.
- Manage licensing records and tracking systems.
- Coordinate licensing renewals and facilitate application processes.
- Support operational departments with licensing-related requirements.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on new hire licensing, renewals, workforce activities, and onboarding.
- Work with Procurement on vendor licensing, supplier requirements, and application processing.
- Serve as the primary administrative liaison with licensing agencies, including the Navajo Nation Gaming Regulatory Office and Arizona Department of Gaming.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Ten (10) years of combined regulation compliance experience, with at least eight (8) years in gaming regulation.
- Five (5) years of progressive responsible experience in a supervisory, lead, or management role.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a gaming license.
