Director of Systems Operations Center

What you’ll do

• Lead and develop the Systems Operations Center, ensuring safe and efficient airline operations.
• Establish the personnel, processes, and systems to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.
• During irregular events, keep senior leadership apprised and help minimize disruptions.
• Provide operational input for daily briefings and support decision-making with strategic analysis and suggestions.
• Develop quality assurance initiatives like fuel burn reduction and recommend changes to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage and train staff across SOC, Dispatch, and Performance Engineering, ensuring they’re motivated and performing at their best.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, giving you control over resources and spending.
• Determine the organizational objectives of the SOC department.

What you’ll need

• 5-10 years of management experience in Dispatch or System Operations at a FAR 121 carrier
• Aircraft Dispatcher certificate and 3-5 years direct 121 air carrier dispatching experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or equivalent
• Experience managing departmental budgets and leading projects from start to finish
• Direct leadership experience preferred
• Project management experience preferred

This is a key position for us, as the ultimate decision maker and arbiter of cross departmental communication and the initial decision maker on SOC emergencies.

Additionally, you’ll play a key role in the development of one of the most unique and exciting projects in aviation today, as we bridge commercial first-class and private aviation in our new Private Class.
