Director of Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to provide strategic and operational leadership across our purchasing, material planning, inventory, and supplier management functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our manufacturing operations have the right materials, at the right time, while balancing cost, inventory investment, supplier performance, and business growth. The Director of Supply Chain will lead and develop the Materials team across multiple locations and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other business leaders to strengthen our overall supply chain. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, understands how purchasing, planning, inventory, and supplier performance work together, and is comfortable moving between strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational challenges. This position will work closely with leaders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other areas of the business and will have an important role in shaping the company's supply chain strategy as we continue to grow. Travel to company locations and supplier facilities will be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, materials, inventory, and supply planning functions across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Develop and execute sourcing and supplier strategies that improve cost, quality, lead time, capacity, and service.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, agreements, performance management, and supplier development.
• Partner with Production Planning and Operations to ensure material availability supports production schedules and customer requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering to source prototype components
