About the role

The Director of Supply Chain will oversee the Planning, Purchasing, and Logistics teams for three Vantedge Medical sites located in San Jose, Rancho Cordova, and Stockton. This role requires expertise in developing and implementing robust supply chain processes and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Process and Technology Development: Identify gaps and improvements, lead best practice solutions, evaluate MRP system usage, ensure reliable demand and supply signals, and manage inventory and PFEP.

  • Planning: Execute production scheduling processes, manage capacity planning and dispatch reporting, and develop supply/demand analyses.

  • Purchasing: Execute purchasing processes, manage vendor performance, identify cost savings projects, and develop long-range commodity strategies.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Support NPI and estimating in RFQs, conduct quarterly business reviews, and utilize Supplier Scorecards.

  • Collaboration / Problem-Solving / Strategy: Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams, build consensus, and communicate effectively with strategic customers.

  • Logistics: Evaluate and implement optimized warehouse design and operations, establish cycle-time programs, and maintain high inventory turnover rates.

  • Talent Development: Coach and develop supply chain talent, review the organization for needs and gaps, and define roles and responsibilities.

  • Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for strategic customers regarding capacity and supply issues.

  • Supply Chain Center of Excellence (COE): Participate in the development of supply chain strategic imperatives and collaborate with corporate COE on best practices and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations management, or related field required.
  • 10 years’ experience in supply chain, with 5 years’ experience in production planning.
  • Strong history of process development and demonstrated change management experience.
  • Ability to influence teams cross-functionally and use data to drive improved decision-making.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to Rancho Cordova and Stockton sites, including some supplier visits (primarily local).
