Position Overview
The Director of Supply Chain is a senior supply chain leader responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end category strategies across a diverse product portfolio. This role drives profitable growth, margin expansion, and supply chain resilience through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and global supply optimization. This role partners closely with Divisional Sales Leadership, regional supply chain teams, and Packaging Consultants to align supply strategy with business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development and execution of multi-year category strategies, including supplier selection, cost structure, and innovation roadmap
- Direct strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, terms, and capacity commitments
- Partner with sales and commercial teams to support customer programs and align sourcing strategies with product and solution requirements
- Drive supplier development, continuous improvement, and sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, finance, and sourcing teams to optimize supply outcomes
- Provide insights and recommendations on category performance, supplier capabilities, and market trends
- Establish processes, tools, and analytics to improve sourcing field, visibility, and decision-making
- Lead, develop, and mentor team members supporting category execution and strategy
- Leverage supplier relationships to achieve targeted cost, quality, and delivery outcomes while supporting profitable growth
- Optimize vendor base strategy to balance performance, capability, and long-term partnership value
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or manufacturing/primary packaging environments
- Experience leading technical or complex product categories
- Strong background in supplier negotiations and global sourcing
- Pioneered ability to work across complex, cross-functional supply chain environments
- Advanced negotiation and commercial strategy skills
- Deep understanding of supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, and category strategy
- Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP/CRM systems
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence team members
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capability
