Director of Supply Chain

About the role

The Director of Supply Chain plans, develops, and implements integrated supply chain functions for Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH). This includes supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, bio-medical services, vendor management, and supply chain technology.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements system-wide supply chain strategy, policies, and practices that meet service and quality standards, manage total costs, and align with BSWH business goals.
• Directs and coordinates the distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the organization, focusing on improving the flow of equipment, supplies, and materials through the BSWH supply chain.
• Directs studies on service efficiency, key performance metrics, cost effectiveness, and benchmarks for planning and forecasting.
• Collaborates with leadership in procurement, logistics, finance, and other departments to drive improvement in supply chain management processes within the area of responsibility and across the BSWH system.
• Ensures compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements impacting BSWH supply chain programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related areas.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience working in a large, matrixed hospital or healthcare system preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Experience with executing supply chain operational, process, and improvement initiatives.
• Exceptional critical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain ERP systems, and current technologies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience: 3 Years of Experience.
