Director of Student Services

About the role

The Director of Student Services oversees all student support services at Everglades University, ensuring that students receive the necessary resources and guidance to succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and management of student support services including counseling, academic advising, and career development programs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance student success initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication among stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the student support team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Conduct regular assessments of student needs and service effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in higher education administration, preferably in a student support services role.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people.
• Experience working with students from underrepresented backgrounds and addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
