Director of Student Conduct and Ethical Development, Student Affairs
Position Description
Manage and administer student conduct cases and related processes, including reviewing alleged violations, conducting administrative fact-finding, meeting with students and other involved parties, facilitating resolution agreements, assigning educational and disciplinary outcomes, and monitoring completion of sanctions and other requirements.
Provide leadership and oversight for campus student conduct operations and coordinate responses to complex student behavioral concerns in collaboration with campus partners such as Cougar Care Network, CARE Team, Title IX/DHR, Residential Education, Student Leadership and Involvement Center, the Clery Office, and University Police.
Ensure timely, equitable, and consistent application of university procedures and support students in navigating processes while upholding student rights, due process, accountability, and opportunities for growth and learning.
Develop and deliver training, outreach, and educational programming about student rights, responsibilities, ethical decision-making, and university processes.
Provide students, faculty, staff, and families with information about available options, resources, and procedural expectations and work collaboratively across divisions and with external partners to support student accountability, growth, and ethical development, promote community standards, and contribute to a safe and respectful learning environment.
Position Summary
Director of Student Conduct & Ethical Development (Administrator I)
This is a full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.
Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $8,334 - $9,167 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,135 - $12,288 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
Eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. Also 15 paid holidays each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
Eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
