Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or school administration (preferred)
Experience
- Three years of counseling/administrative school experience (preferred)
- Experience working with adolescents and/or families, particularly in traditionally underserved schools and communities (preferred)
- Possess valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or equivalent (strongly preferred)
- Possess valid Illinois Type 73, Type 75, or equivalent (strongly preferred)
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to operate standard business office equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, reach high and low, stoop, and walk around the classroom 60% of the day
- Ability to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20 lbs. for short periods of time
- Walk up and down stairs several times a day
- Majority of work is performed in a general school environment
- Availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties
- Participation and attendance at organization-sponsored events and meetings
