What You'll Do
- Lead Finance Strategy
- Architect and implement financial infrastructure, processes, and frameworks to support YouVersion’s continued growth and international expansion.
- Own the evaluation of financial impact for strategic initiatives, delivering scenario analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations to inform executive decision-making.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, proactively delivering insights that drive long-term sustainability and maximize ministry impact.
- Own Financial Analysis & Insights
- Prepare and deliver regular financial updates and strategic briefings to executive leadership, highlighting performance drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead complex and ad hoc financial analysis to support high-impact strategic initiatives, partnerships, and investment decisions.
- Drive Cross-Functional Financial Alignment
- Partner with Finance Operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and alignment with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with FP&A to develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario plans aligned with YouVersion’s strategic priorities.
- Potential to Partner with YouVersion Donor Development to interpret giving trends, assess revenue forecasts, and inform financial planning.
- Serve as a financial thought partner to functional leaders, equipping them to understand the financial implications of their strategies and initiatives.

- Exercises sound judgment and decision-making, demonstrating discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Demonstrate ability to structure or support international operations, including cross-border financial management, compliance, and entity strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
- CPA added plus.
- Nonprofit or ministry experience a plus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, financial analysis, or accounting roles.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-entity, or international organizations preferred.
- Experience influencing senior leadership and driving strategic financial decisions preferred.
