About the role

Galveston Park Board and Visit Galveston are seeking a full‑time Director of Strategic Communications to oversee tourism media relations, governmental affairs, and internal communications for both Visit Galveston and the Galveston Park Board of Trustees, supporting the organization’s mission to promote tourism and enhance quality of life on Galveston Island.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective, targeted media pitches and editorial submissions that garner high‑profile media exposure for Galveston Island and each organization’s business units.
• Supply quotes, photos, and other crucial information to journalists and the media.
• Work closely with the marketing team to formulate collateral, sales‑promotion pieces, brochures
