Responsibilities
- Provide the necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment that will assist staff in gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
- Monitor the activities of nursing staff to ensure the quality of care complies with state, federal, and corporate standards.
- Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state.
- Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience.
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Qualifications
- Must have a supervisory experience.
- Nice to have: Infection Prevention Certified, Experience with PointClickCare.
