About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Director of Staff Development (DSD) to join our clinical team at our skilled nursing facility. The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The goal is to maintain the highest degree of quality resident care at all times.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs, in-services, and orientation.
- Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs.
- Secure, develop, and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, and reference materials related to in-service educational programs.
- Perform administrative tasks such as completing forms, reports, class attendance records, and subject records.
- Connect with and lead CNA staff.
- Encourage attending physicians to record and sign progress notes, physicians' orders, etc., on a timely basis and in accordance with current regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of college education.
- Clear and Active LVN license in the State of California.
- DSD Certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a post-acute/skilled nursing facility, with LTC or SNF experience preferred.
