Director of Security
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, no invention. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. Also remove EEO paragraph at end? It says "Equal Employment Opportunity" is boilerplate, remove. Also remove "Work for Indiana Begin a fulfilling career..." maybe that's generic intro; but it's part of posting. Should we keep? It's not a section heading; it's prose. We can keep as
maybe. But we need to preserve all substantive information. The intro includes info about state, etc. That's substantive. Keep as paragraph. We need sections: About The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (HRC) maybe "About the role"? Actually there is "About The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (HRC)" which is about the agency. Could be "About the role"? The instruction: use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should map content to these headings where appropriate.
We have:
- About The Indiana Horse Racing Commission (HRC) -> could be "About the role" or maybe "About the agency". We'll use About the role
and put that description.
- Role Overview: description of Director of Security responsibilities. That could go under Responsibilities? Actually Role Overview is like summary. Could be placed under Responsibilities or maybe we treat as Responsibilities. We'll put under Responsibilities
the bullet list of essential functions (A Day In The Life). Also the supervisory responsibilities maybe.
- Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $67,314.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator... This is Pay info. Since it mentions "may be commensurate..." which is vague but still gives a starting salary. According to rule: never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. The posting does state a starting salary: $67,314.00. So we can include Pay section with that info. The phrase "may be commensurate with education and work experience." is somewhat vague but we still have a base. We'll include the starting salary and note that it may vary based on experience? But we should avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Might be considered filler. However we can still include the concrete number and maybe note that it's the traditional starting salary. The rule says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD"). If we include the sentence that includes "may be commensurate with education and work experience." that is filler. We could avoid that sentence and just state the starting salary. But we must preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. If we drop that sentence, we are omitting info about it may be commensurate. Is that substantive? It's a qualifier. Might be considered substantive. However the rule says never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text. It doesn't say we cannot include filler text within a section; just that we shouldn't create a section if the only content is filler. So we can include the sentence as part of the Pay section; it's okay.
Thus Pay section: Pay
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $67,314.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.
- Benefits: we have a detailed list. So Benefits section. - Schedule: Not mentioned explicitly. There's mention of exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period etc. That's about work hours. Could be considered Schedule info. The posting mentions: "Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary." That's about expected hours. Could be considered Schedule. We'll include Schedule section with that info. - Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: The posting has "What You'll Need For Success" which lists knowledge, skills, abilities. Also "Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports". Also "A degree is not required..." etc. We need to split into Requirements, Qualifications, Skills maybe. But we should prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine Requirements and Qualifications into one section? But the instruction says use headings for those categories if we have content. We have content for Requirements (experience, ability to perform essential functions), Qualifications (education substitution), Skills (list of abilities). Could make three sections. But we should avoid many thin sections if possible. However we have distinct content; maybe we can combine into oneRequirements
containing all. But the instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have just Requirements (or Qualifications) covering all. Let's decide: We'll makeRequirements
containing the bullet list of knowledge, skills, abilities, education substitution, experience, etc. And maybe also include supervisory responsibilities. That seems comprehensive. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We must remove boilerplate: EEO paragraph at end, also maybe the line "Equal Employment Opportunity The State of Indiana is an Equal Opportunity Employer..." remove. Also remove "Work for Indiana Begin a fulfilling career..."? That's not boilerplate; it's intro. Keep. Also remove "Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package." that's fine. Also remove "The job profile is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing..." that's part of responsibilities; keep. Also remove "This position is exempt from overtime compensation..." that's schedule info. Now produce HTML fragment.
