Roles & Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, guidance, and professional development for a large team of managers and security professionals.
- Interfaces with all levels of corporate and government management personnel for all pertinent security issues.
- Counsels with senior leadership to resolve issues that could impact the security and compliance of employees, facilities, operations, and programs.
- Evaluates current procedures, practices, and precedents for accomplishing Janicki Industry activities and functions relative to security and develops and implements alternative methods when improvements are required.
- Identifies and resolves security-related problems.
- Performs audits of security-related performance and conducts physical surveys of premises security, including security equipment condition.
- Conducts and participates in all applicable security inspections (internal and external), and implements necessary actions to correct deficiencies.
- Communicates with Government agencies on a continuous basis to obtain approvals and maintains compliance with applicable regulations.
- Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions, and discipline or dismissal measures.
- Prepares work schedules; assigns or delegates responsibilities.
- Provides work directives for subordinates.
- Sets deadlines to ensure completion of all security functions.
- Works well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
- Punctual and maintains good attendance.
- Responsible for the Export Compliance program at Janicki.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 10 years of security-related experience in U.S. Government security policies and regulations, to include Defense, State, Commerce, and Treasury department programs including, but not limited to NISPOM, DSS, SAP, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Wage Information
The wage range for this role is between $140K - 200K, plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.
