Director of Sales, Sterile
About the role
As the Director of Sales for Kindeva Drug Delivery (KDD), you will lead the development of new business opportunities and growth. This role is responsible for uncovering new sales opportunities across Kindeva’s entire enterprise suite of services and product offerings, primarily in injectable drug delivery, as well as nasal drug delivery, dermal drug delivery, and analytical services.
You will be recognized as an influential leader, partnering with the executive leadership team to provide cohesive direction toward business development goals for Sterile Injectables. This includes uncovering, developing, and winning new sales demand in line with Kindeva’s growth objectives. The role requires building and maintaining strong client relationships at all levels, ensuring existing client needs are met, and driving ongoing business by identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and renew contracts. You will act as a liaison between Kindeva and our clients to foster long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales volume and profitable revenue across Kindeva’s enterprise services and product offerings, with an emphasis on Sterile Injectables manufacturing in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the sales strategy, vision, and direction, delivering actionable key new business plans.
- Generate business for clinical and late-phase GMP manufacturing at the new state-of-the-art Bridgeton sterile injectables site, as well as early analytical, formulation, and process development for select platforms.
- Uncover and grow customer relationships with virtual, small, mid-large pharma, specialty, and generic pharmaceutical companies.
- Identify effective market segments and drive the creation of prospective client target lists to support new business objectives.
- Lead communication and negotiations with internal and external executive-level management on critical matters relative to KDD’s offerings, services, and value propositions, convincing potential customers to select KDD as their outsourced development and manufacturing partner of choice.
- Lead contract negotiations for KDD development and manufacturing services with partners.
- Anticipate factors that could influence strategies and the company’s current and long-term market position.
- Act as the sales leader for growth strategy, reporting directly to KDD’s VP and Head of Business Development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of sales, business development, or key account management experience in the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry, with a proven record of driving revenue growth.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level contract negotiations for clinical and commercial manufacturing supply agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing processes, with a focus on injectable product development and GMP manufacturing.
- Proven ability to develop and lead high-impact sales strategies that drive growth across diverse market segments.
- Strong leadership skills, with a history of managing cross-functional teams and influencing key stakeholders at all levels.
- Expertise in using Salesforce.com or other CRM systems to track and manage sales pipelines effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a results-oriented approach.
