About the role
The Director of Sales at WETM-TV (NBC) is a high-impact leadership position aimed at steering the sales operations of a legacy affiliate into the next era of media. This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class sales performance, expanding into critical regional key accounts and channels, and implementing strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market development in line with Nexstar's vision and values.
Responsibilities
- Deliver best in class sales performance
- Expand into critical regional key accounts and channels
- Implement strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market development
- Create unique and customized media plans for high-profile buyers leveraging Nexstar Digital’s full suite of products
- Leverage Nexstar’s growing suite of products to meet and exceed sales quota
- Manage a client pipeline and project revenue utilizing a CRM
- Communicate efficiently both externally and internally across multiple teams
- Influence decision makers and develop tailored solutions
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team-oriented collaborative fashion
- Take on additional opportunities as company expands
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years experience in selling TV, Video, and Digital
- Strong attention to detail and excellent team player
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Willingness to travel
- Experience selling across multiple advertising products (OTT, display, video, and data)
- Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter capable of thriving in high-growth environments
- Energy and passion for growing a digital video advertising business
Pay
$50,000 annual base salary, plus commission and bonus potential.
