About the role
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and directing sales activities within the Division to achieve revenue through effective leadership and represent GEMAIRE as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Represent GEMAIRE as a leader in the industry to ensure maximum sales and profitability.
- Directly manage sales activities for Regional Sales Managers.
- Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
- Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers.
- Establish targets for direct reports, articulating a clear vision and direction to ensure targets are met.
- Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, incentive trips, and similar functions.
- Attend training classes to acquire skills needed to meet customers’ needs and stay updated with technical developments and product line changes.
- Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
- Oversee the quality of customer service provided to dealers.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and threats to core business.
- Travel with each Regional Sales Manager and Territory Sales Manager to achieve division goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive senior-level sales leadership with demonstrated results.
- Proficiency in HVAC at a wholesale distribution level preferred but not required.
- 3–5 years of experience in residential and commercial contractor relationships.
- Proven success in managing and mentoring other sales employees while establishing sales goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and market data and provide real-time solutions.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or business development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to travel within division up to 80% of the time.
