About the role

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for an on-site Director of Sales in Hawaii. This leadership role is responsible for developing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and leading sales initiatives. The Director of Sales will work closely with executive leadership, sales teams, marketing, operations, and key clients to achieve revenue targets and strengthen the organization's market position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and business development skills. The role requires a results-driven leader who can develop strategic sales plans, manage performance, analyze market trends, and build long-term relationships with customers and business partners.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience, leadership capabilities, sales performance, industry expertise, and client hiring needs. Additional compensation, commission, and bonus details will be shared during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives
  • Lead and manage sales activities across assigned markets and business segments
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospective clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners
  • Establish sales targets, performance objectives, and revenue goals
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for leadership
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Develop strategies to increase market share and strengthen customer retention
  • Lead sales presentations, negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions
  • Coach, mentor, and develop sales team members
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on revenue-generating initiatives
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline information
  • Represent the organization at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Develop strategic partnerships and long-term business relationships
  • Ensure sales activities align with company goals and brand standards
  • Perform additional sales leadership and business development duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive sales or business development experience
  • Previous leadership or sales management experience required
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Experience developing sales strategies and managing sales pipelines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop sales professionals
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitive positioning
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced professional environment

Skills

  • Experience in hospitality, travel, tourism, or luxury services
