Position Summary

The Director of Sales (DOS) manages sales operations and connects with prospective residents through various channels to achieve occupancy targets and revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Sales
    • Interacts with leads through advertising, PR, referrals, and personal contacts to convert them into residents.
    • Builds customer-focused relationships and advances leads through the sales process.
    • Executes the Sales Playbook, overcoming objections, and closing deals.
    • Manages sales tracking reports and communicates daily updates to the Executive Director.
    • Conducts weekly strategy meetings and reports sales results to key stakeholders.
    • Conducts on-site walk-throughs and plans/local sales events.
    • Collaborates with marketing teams to develop marketing tactics.
  • Revenue Optimization
    • Determines revenue drivers and optimizes net revenue.
    • Works with prospective residents to achieve “everyday matters” revenue optimization.
    • Analyzes and interprets sales metrics to recommend improvements.
  • External Business Development
    • Identifies and develops referral networks.
    • Plans and executes monthly presentations to professional referral sources.
    • Ledges monthly referral development meetings.
    • Documents all networking and referral sources in the CRM.
  • Resident Move-In Process
    • Reviews and facilitates the Move-In Packet.
    • Facilitates and coordinates the Resident Assessment with the clinical team.
    • Manages the move-in process to ensure a smooth transition.
    • Ensures all state-mandated paperwork is completed on or before the move-in date.
    • Coordinates with the Executive Director, Business Operations Manager, and Director of Health and Wellness to prepare the resident's administrative files.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Keeps up-to-date with industry developments and attends relevant conferences and training sessions.
    • Acts professionally and honestly in representing the community concept of senior living.
    • Participates in community leadership meetings and functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in marketing/sales in senior living settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with sales CRM systems and tracking leads and sales activities.
