Director of Sales - Asian Sales Division
Leadership and Partnerships
Leads the Asian Sales division by fostering partnerships with distributors and accounts to grow revenue and profitability. Supports business partners such as JFC, Wismettac, Mutual Trading, The Wonderfield Group, and others.
Key liaison to business partners, providing leadership, training, management, and resource allocation to sales managers and staff.
Builds, maintains, and strengthens long-term business relationships with customers based on trust, collaboration, and mutual success.
Customer Relationships and Communication
Oversees and manages JFC corporate relationship and collaborates with JFC executive team.
Communicates corporate sales and marketing announcements to distributors and customers.
Manages customer inquiries and prepares summaries of sales, marketing, and customer activity.
Communicates short and long-term product needs to the President, CRO, and executive management.
Attends meetings and supports Marukan and distributor/customer events, delegating responsibilities as necessary.
Product Development and Strategy
Develops and updates the pricing strategy and makes recommendations to the President, CRO for approval.
Approves and communicates annual and monthly sales forecasts and expense budgets.
Manages private brand packaging and sales to customers Marukan supplies as a contract packager.
Creates, approves, and maintains Supply Agreements with key customers.
Management and Oversight
Provides day-to-day direction and approval of all Asian division sales activities.
Evaluates new customer opportunities and presents them to the President, CRO for approval.
Works with Accounts Receivable to reconcile customers' deductions and manage sales department spending.
Communicates with Logistics Department to maximize sales and minimize shortages in a cost-effective manner.
Training and Development
Attends and supports training for self and Asian Sales division personnel, working alongside for assistance when needed.
Manages human resource growth and development to maximize customer reach and effectiveness.
Performance Evaluation
Evaluates department personnel performance and sets personal and department KPIs.
Travel and Meetings
Travels to primary sales regions at least once per year.
Reviews quarterly sales objectives with the President, CRO, and CEO.
Attends customer category reviews with distributors and conducts training sessions as needed.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintains up-to-date records of retail and food service distribution and pricing for Marukan products and competitors.
Implements company policies and procedures in areas of responsibility.
