About the Role

Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's Rooms Operations. Areas of responsibility include Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, and Housekeeping. Works with direct reports (department heads) to develop and implement departmental strategies, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives. Ensures Rooms Operations meet brand standards, target customer needs, associate satisfaction, and financial performance goals. Develops property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations while providing a return on investment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Profitability: Demonstrates and communicates key drivers of guest satisfaction. Analyzes service issues, identifies trends, and executes decisions to achieve goals. Develops and executes operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business strategy.
  • Managing Revenue Goals: Monitors Rooms operations sales performance against budget. Reviews financial statements to assess performance, coaches teams on managing occupancy, rates, wages, and expenses. Holds teams accountable for results.
  • Leading Operations and Department Teams: Champions the brand’s service vision and ensures alignment among leadership. Develops systems for associates to understand guest satisfaction results. Communicates departmental goals and produces desired outcomes.
  • Managing the Guest Experience: Reviews guest feedback with leadership and ensures corrective action. Handles guest problems and complaints. Stays visible to interface with customers and obtain feedback. Creates an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities: Facilitates creative solutions to obstacles and ensures implementation. Ensures fair and equitable treatment of associates. Fosters commitment to excellent service through daily interactions, meetings, and modeling desired behaviors. Sets goals and expectations using performance reviews. Solicits associate feedback and addresses concerns. Administers policies fairly and consistently.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major and 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major and 2 years of experience in the same professional areas.

Pay

$116,000–$146,000 annually
