Responsibilities

  • Oversees establishment of ongoing data collection and evaluation activities for all required elements
  • Oversight of Professional Practice Evaluation and Physician Citizenship processes and communication for all medical staff members – links relevant assessment processes to practitioners' profiles with ongoing and focused evaluation
  • Coordinates reporting to appropriate internal and external bodies including but not limited to workgroups, committees, Board of Governors, division, corporate and QualityNet
  • Periodically evaluates program effectiveness in improving performance
  • Participates in development of committee structure and serves as a member of select committees
  • Periodically evaluates the risk management program and develops/modifies program goals
  • Defines and coordinates the role of infection prevention for the system and incorporates the program into all components of the organization
  • Defines and coordinates the roles of evidence-based care including HBIPS, BPRS / PHQ outcome measures, Broset Violence Assessment, and SUD detoxification protocols, and incorporates these programs into all components of the organization
  • Oversight for development and implementation of plans and policies that guide and support the organization, including but not limited to performance improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, environment of care, and medication management
  • Defines and coordinates the Medical Staff Services for hospitals in market and incorporates into all components of the organization, including Credentials and Medical Executive Committees
  • Assures required reporting to facility/system committees, Board of Governors, division, corporate, federal, state and local agencies
  • Oversight of the Clinical Safety Improvement Program including Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality bi-annual safety survey with identification for improvement opportunities and related actions

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • 3-5 years Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of Quality experience required
  • Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health experience required
