Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and oversee all revenue cycle operations within a growing healthcare organization. This individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, supervising a Billing Specialist, driving process improvements, and ensuring timely, accurate reimbursement across Medicaid and other payer sources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all revenue cycle operations, including claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and reimbursement.
  • Supervise and mentor the Billing Specialist while remaining hands-on with billing activities as needed.
  • Review claims for accuracy prior to submission and ensure timely billing.
  • Investigate, resolve, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
  • Monitor authorizations and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Develop and implement scalable billing workflows and best practices as the organization continues to expand.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of billing activity.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Medicaid and managed care billing requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical and administrative staff to improve revenue cycle performance.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience overseeing healthcare revenue cycle and medical billing operations.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Experience with managed care organizations (MCOs); experience with Alliance and Partners is highly preferred.
  • Experience with commercial/private insurance billing is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a growing organization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online; NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
