About the role

As a Director of Respiratory Services, you'll be leading department activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals. You'll develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, and administer corrective actions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A valid and current state board of respiratory care license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Pay

The base compensation for this position is commensurate with experience.

This position offers a Full-Time Days schedule.
