Director of Resident Care - LPN or RN Required

About the role

The Director of Resident Care at Spectrum Retirement Communities is responsible for planning, implementing, directing, and monitoring effective Assisted Living and Memory Care systems. This role requires a strong background in geriatric care and experience in an assisted living or residential care environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct resident well-being according to State regulations to ensure appropriate and acceptable standards of care and adequate staffing
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance
• In conjunction with the Executive Director, recruit, select, supervise, mentor, appraise and counsel caregiving team members
• In conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment, care planning and team assignments
• Ensure appropriate delivery of services as identified in resident care plans by delegating and communicating verbal and written expectations to caregiving team members

Qualifications

• LPN or RN Required
• A strong background in assessing residents' behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting residents' needs
• Advanced certification in geriatric care, previous experience in an assisted living or residential care environment a plus
• Meet the State qualifications and training requirements for the position
• Must have computer skills – e-mail, documents, spreadsheets and entering data
• Must be medically able and willing to wear a NIOSH-approved tight-fitting respirator (N95 mask), if required by and in accordance with federal or state regulations or Spectrum policy
