About the Role

As the Director of Reimbursement at Numotion, you will manage the process and staff to maximize cost-effective performance of the regional billing center in achieving accounts receivable financial goals. This position ensures the delivery of quality service and results through process development, adherence to company best practices, and continual staff development while fulfilling Numotion’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the direction of Reimbursement Managers and staff to achieve financial results as a primary function, directly overseeing 2-8 managers.
  • Uses reports to identify focus areas and improve results; holds routine unit meetings to communicate changes, share direction, and address trouble areas.
  • Makes independent decisions on write-offs and adjustments, with authority to approve up to $5,000 per claim.
  • Evaluates manager and staff performance, conducts annual reviews, and provides counseling or discipline as needed.
  • Provides final decisions and approvals on hiring Supervisors and managers.
  • Researches and resolves account receivable challenges and payer trends, working internally and externally with payers.
  • Resolves escalated phone calls and emails from internal and external customers.
  • Collaborates with the Contracting team and Corporate Counsel for assistance in collecting cash or resolving issues.
  • Manages the month-end close, performs light accounting, and prepares monthly overview reports in writing and verbally.
  • Ensures all billing and collections practices follow company best practices and state/federal regulations.
  • Provides ongoing training and education to billing staff and assists with workload distribution during staff absences.
  • Administers department incentive plans and ensures timely, accurate submission of audits.
  • Attends payer seminars and educational events, reviews industry literature, and communicates pertinent information to direct reports.
  • Mentors staff and identifies promotable employees.
  • Performs related duties as required, adhering to Numotion Leadership Principles and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, focusing on solutions for customer concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree required.
  • Minimum four years of related supervisory experience.
  • Ability to effectively delegate work assignments fairly and appropriately.
  • Collaborates effectively with other management teams and groups throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrates accountability and a willingness to seek solutions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced environment and manages multiple priorities.
  • Assesses situations and makes sound decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, listening, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Retains instructions well and accepts constructive feedback from supervisors.
  • Consistent attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings.
  • Understands budgets and/or financial goals; plans and organizes effectively to achieve productivity goals.
  • Proficient in using technology to optimize efficiency.

Physical Work Requirements

  • Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
  • Ability to read, understand, and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavy weight material up to 10 lbs.

Pay

$88,720–$121,990 base salary plus an Annual Incentive Performance bonus. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range. Compensation decisions depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
