Director of Rehabilitation DOR

About the Role

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). Candidates must be a COTA or PTA; a hotel room is provided during workdays for those living 40 minutes away or more. The DOR will be resident‑ and family‑focused, a team builder, and will help build a facility culture. The primary purpose of the role is to manage and supervise the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the company’s fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations. Strong leadership and effective management of staff, customers, and referral sources are essential.

Responsibilities

• Achieve specific patient care, employee relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff, customers, and referral sources.
• Oversee the implementation of established therapy plans of care.
• Manage scheduled treatment days, per the Plan of Care, for patients on a daily basis.
• Track admissions and discharges to ensure appropriate scheduling of evaluating therapists for timely completion of evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Ensure therapists complete documentation properly, completely, and in a timely manner.
• Monitor productivity of therapists, labor hours, flextime, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired specific to discipline.
• Demonstrates leadership, organization, and communication expertise.
