Director of Recruitment & Admissions
About the role
Indian River State College is seeking a strategic and people-centered enrollment leader to guide our recruitment and admissions operations. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen access to higher education, deepen community partnerships, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to student success.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of admission functions for the college including admissions process, including inquiry, application review, and student enrollment, ensuring a smooth, student-centered experience.
- Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track and optimize applicant engagement.
- Lead, and manage the admissions counseling functions, fostering a high-performing, goal-driven environment.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation to ensure team success in meeting enrollment goals.
- Support and promote Dual Enrollment and Career Pathways programs, including collaboration on articulation agreements and industry certification initiatives with K–12 partners.
- Prepare, analyze, and present data-driven reports on enrollment trends, student outcomes, and recruitment effectiveness.
- Aid in managing the departmental budget and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
- Oversee all recruitment staff & student engagement events: including new student orientation, recruitment fairs, and on/off-campus enrollment activities.
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area; Master’s degree preferred with eight (8) years prior admission and recruitment leadership experience in a higher education setting.
- Proven experience in college recruitment & admissions, showing enrollment growth including CRM management (i.e. Element 451, Slate, CRM Recruit).
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing accelerated mechanisms, dual enrollment, and articulation agreements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact effectively with external organizations and foster relationships that enhance student success.
Physical Demands
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally more than twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.

Continued employment remains on an “at-will” basis. Travel to each of the assessments on a monthly basis or as needed.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range starts at: $59,742.89. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience
