About the role
Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, partners with a company in Miami, FL, to search for an experienced Director of Quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for the full quality organization, including QA and QC managers and their teams
- Own the company's quality management system, ensuring airworthiness and regulatory compliance at all times
- Serve as the senior quality liaison for FAA, EASA, CAA, and customer audits and findings
- Establish quality KPIs, reporting cadences, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Guide CAPA programs, root cause investigations, and resolution of quality escapes
- Partner with operations leadership to embed quality into production workflows
- Develop inspector and quality staff training, competency, and succession programs
- Support as needed
Requirements
- 12 or more years of quality leadership experience within FAA Part 145 repair station environments
- Prior success directing both quality assurance and quality control teams, including manager-level direct reports
- Commercial aircraft landing gear experience with Airbus and Boeing platforms required
- Expert-level knowledge of FAA regulations, with familiarity with EASA and CAA requirements strongly preferred
- Extensive audit leadership experience covering regulatory, customer, and internal audits
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred
- Background with AS9100 or ISO quality systems is a plus
