What You'll Do
- Lead the hospital's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Foster a culture of patient safety, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, patient experience, and operational excellence.
- Monitor quality metrics, patient safety indicators, and performance dashboards to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA), Failure Mode & Effects Analyses (FMEA), and other risk reduction initiatives.
- Direct accreditation and regulatory readiness efforts, including CMS, DNV, Joint Commission, and state survey preparation.
- Oversee adverse event reporting, regulatory compliance, and corrective action planning.
- Partner with Nursing, Medical Staff, Behavioral Health, Therapy, Operations, Compliance, and Corporate Leadership to implement enterprise quality initiatives.
- Provide executive oversight of patient advocacy, grievance management, and patient rights processes.
- Develop quality education programs that strengthen staff competency in documentation, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Present quality performance, regulatory updates, and organizational risk assessments to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related healthcare field
- 7–10 years of progressive clinical and quality leadership experience
- 3–5 years leading Quality, Patient Safety, Risk Management, or Performance Improvement programs
- Experience leading regulatory surveys and accreditation readiness
- Strong knowledge of QAPI, performance improvement, healthcare regulations, and quality analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric, behavioral health, rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental, or specialty hospital settings
- Multi-site or health system quality leadership experience
- Certification such as CPHQ, CPPS, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
